Crossing Bridges to Thrive Together

ECC is a collaborative partnership dedicated to crossing divides, building trust, and working together for a stronger eastern Carteret County.

Our purpose is to foster connections, share information, and learn together.

Eastern Carteret Collaborative in Carteret County North Carolina

The Eastern Carteret Collaborative (“ECC”) was born in the wake of Hurricane Florence when we saw the need to build a diverse network of people who are dedicated to crossing boundaries and building trust so that we can work together for a stronger region.

Why?

ECC is a network made up of over 50 core collaborators: citizens, organizations, and government representatives, including people associated with the Down East Council, the Boys and Girls Club, Carteret Community College, and County, State and Federal organizations.

Who We Are…

Eastern Carteret Collaborative Partnerships

ECC was launched thanks to funding by Z. Smith Reynolds (ZSR) under their Collaborative Problem Solving program (CPS). Our fiscal agent for the ZSR funding was the Town of Beaufort and is now Carteret Community College.

How are we funded?

Our Main Purpose

Foster Connections.

We bring together citizens, agencies, and organizations to focus on community concerns and goals. Simply getting the right people in a room together, including underrepresented voices, can be most effective.

Share Information.

Our participants bring new ideas, resources, and opportunities that can be leveraged for the good of our whole community.

Learn Together.

We deepen our understanding of each other, of complex problems, and of new ways of thinking together.
